One way to get coupons is to ask. I have devised this Company Contact List with links to company sites. Simply send an email and let them know you like their product, compliments go a long way; I have done this before and received coupons for FREE products. You can ask if there are any extra coupons available. You can also use this list for contacts if you have any issues or problems with their product, but if so please be polite, describe the problem exactly (so that maybe they can fix the problem in the future) and include any information such as the UPC code, expiration date etc.

Use your imagination, and have fun with this. For various parties and special events, we have tucked all sorts of party favors into our scarf fold napkins. We have used toy jeweled rings for bridal showers, pacifier rings for baby showers and even notebook clips for back-to-school celebrations. We have tucked candy canes, lollipops, pretty pens, feathers, flowers, paper fans and other goodies into ribbons and rubber bands on scarf fold napkins.

I’m one of those knitters that never really progressed beyond scarf-making. I love to buy yarn, however, and have an entire bin of the fuzzy stuff in storage that quietly waits to be used. Recently, I decided that my friends and family had been subjected to my scarves long enough, so it was time to move onto the dog. I’m not sure he thinks he looks quite as fashionable as I think he does, but it is a great, festive accessory for winter. Just wait ’til you hear all the “Look, Mom, that dog is wearing a scarf!” comments. It is pretty darn cute.

I did the same thing. I tried scooping out a cup of sugar out of the pan before I started melting it all down. Seemed to bake ok. Haven’t tasted it yet. Should say, 2 cups of sugar divided.

Update: One thing I wanted to point out… a lot of people seem to be under the impression that I cook all of my meat ahead of time and then thaw it so I’m losing a lot with the quality of the meat. That is not the case and I’ll go read the rest of the post to see if I led you to believe that anywhere. The only meat I do cook ahead of time, is the shredded chicken, ground beef and taco. Everything else, gets frozen uncooked. I actually mention that this way it gets to marinate while it’s thawing and THEN we put it on the grill to cook.
