Oh, pick me, pick me! I can smell it already! Start to finish, on great cooking vessel. Homemade, from scratch, ooey-gooey, baked Macaroni & Cheese. Cheddar, Smoked Gouda & Fontina will be in the line-up along with copious amounts of butter and heavy cream. Enameled cast iron giving the desired even, intense heat enveloping the mixture and creating a delicious crispy edge without burning. Finishing touch means removing the lid that has kept all the creamy goodness contained and adding fresh homemade buttered breadcrumbs and a visit under the broiler. All in one wonderful pan… OK, I am a tad hungry now… off to make a less exciting dinner now. Lol
I would first cook a pot of homemade chicken and dumplings like my mother and grandmother use to make….mmmmm mmmm good!

My baked beans…
I have a great recipe (I think it is great, haven’t been able to make it since I need a Dutch Oven, like this one!) for rustic bread that I would love to give a try. This would be just the right tool for the job.
Spaghetti! Gumbo! Chicken and Dumplings! Jambalaya! Crawfish Etouffee! Need I say more?
Just realized this would be so pretty on top of my white wood burning cook stove. I can almost smell a good gumbo simmering now.
Fried Chicken… I bet this Dutch Oven would produce some perfectly cooked fried chicken.

Thanks for this opportunity. I would love this Lodge Red Dutch Oven. Soups, Stews, Pot Roast and some breads. I have lots of Lodge Iron assorted pans…some probably at least 75 years old. I have one skillet dedicated to corn bread and another dedicated to biscuits plus my grandmother’s cornbread stick pan.
I would make apple dumplings!
