The other night my daughter came home from her babysitting job and I had made Rice Krispie Treats and she said “Oh, you made sticky things.” That made me smile, I had completely forgotten about her calling them that when she was little. She has always loved Kraut and Wieners but she couldn’t pronounce Kraut…so it was Crap and Wienies. Oh, those little things take you back in time and have you wishing they were little again.
My baby is all grown up…sniff, sniff. Seems like yesterday she came into my life kicking and screaming with an head full of black hair. She graduated from high school a few weeks ago and now we are working on getting her registered for college! I am so proud of her, she and I have been through a lot of tough times and we have came through them, she stuck it out, kept chugging along all the while hitting the books and making good grades. She made it and soon to be a college student. I just can’t believe it.
I wish her dad could have been here to see her graduate. I am sure he was looking down from heaven, smiling, never doubting that she would make it.

I’m having the same kinda “down memory lane” week thinking about my daughter! I made strawberries and cream popsicles and just imagined her being 5 years old…not almost 17!

I know they grow up sooooo fast. When she was in first grade I remember her coming home saying she would be graduating in 2012 it seemed so far away and here it is in a blink of an eye.
I am going to have to buy me some popsicle molds and make me some of those Strawberries and Cream Popsicles. They look delicious.
