…..canned ham camper that is! All dolled up and go glamping!
This past Saturday I attended the National Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg, TN and had a great time, eating all sorts of foods created with Martha White Cornmeal but the one portion of the Festival that truly has me in awe is the Sisters On The Fly! Some of the Sisters had their vintage campers on display and I must say I am in love. They are like your own private big girl version of a play house and I want one so bad. If you already have one or already a Sister On The Fly, I just have to say I am sooooo jealous.
I was checking out the Festival Events Saturday morning before we headed out and saw this video about Sisters On The Fly and let me tell you, if I saw no other event I was determined to check them out while I was there. Probably not the best idea since I am always broke and now I am determined to find me a vintage trailer to refurbish and redecorate.
Would this not be the life for a weekend?
There were 17 on display and each decorated with their owner’s personality.
We could even peek inside!
Look at these darling kitchens!
Sisters On The Fly is a group for women formed initially by two sisters in 1999 and they were having so much fun camping and fishing that they thought it would be great to share with other women. Sisters On The Fly has now grown to over 2400 members. Their cowgirl caravans usually have no husband, children or pets along. The Cowgirl Caravan Events usually have all sorts of fun activities scheduled such as; pot luck dinners, cocktails, hikes, fly fishing, viewing the synchronized fireflies, National Parks, beaches and much more.
So I am going to start saving for me a little vintage camper and just want to know who’s going with me??? Let me know in the comments so I can start planning our trip.
(Note: Since I am on a Ground Beef Budget it may be a while (years) before I swing by and pick you up with my vintage camper so you just have to be patient, LOL.)
