We’ve all done it or I am hoping someone else will admit to it…..Tried to save a few dollars and colored or cut our own hair and made a total mess of it and had to make the dreaded beauty shop appointment that was now going to cost more than if you had just made the appointment and left the job to the professionals to start with. Arriving with a hat or scarf covering our cheapskate disaster of a hairdo and sitting at in that swivel chair having to swallow our pride and admit our huge mistake. Bless my heart, I have done this to myself and my poor daughter, bless her heart. One time she looked a lot like Cruella Deville. Thank goodness for the understanding ladies at Hairbenders!
Well the other day I graduated and have now done this to my poor dog, thank goodness he doesn’t have a clue. So now I am going to have to take the master of the doggie beauty shop walk of shame and have to admit I did this to my poor dog.
He’s not looking this pretty the last few days.
In effort to save a few dollars and the fingers of the dog groomer my daughter and I tried to groom my newly found ShihTzu* ~Chewy. He’s a tiny little dog with a huge attitude. Initially it was pretty easy he seemed to enjoy the clippers but after a bit he got tired of dealing with us, the teeth began to show and we stopped. So now he looks like a character that could be found in a Dr. Seuss book:
Long hair, short hair.
Straight hair, frizzie hair.
Smooth hair, matted hair.
1 feet, 2 feet
3 feet, 4 still fuzzy feet.
* I found him a few months ago at dusk running in the pouring rain in the middle of the road. I pulled over to try to save him from demise and he jumped in my car. No neighbors close by claimed him so I brought him home for the night. Tried everything to get him back to his owner and no one ever claimed him. So now I suppose, he’s mine.
